Adelaide-born forward, Aurelio Vidmar, was a revelation in his youth. Vidmar would take the National Soccer League by storm, playing for Adelaide City from 1985 to 1991, before leaving for Europe. Belgium's KV Kortrijk was the destination, where Vidmar would score 10 goals in 30 appearances during his first season.
Known for his long-flowing locks, Vidmar represented Australia 44 times, scoring 17 goals. His most famous against Diego Maradona's Argentina at the Sydney Football Stadium in 1993.
This design is a tribute to Vidmar's early days as a local boy with big dreams.
