A timely header by Josh Kennedy helped Australia to a 2-1 friendly victory over the world's fourth-ranked football team, the Netherlands, in the Dutch city of Eindhoven. The Socceroos - ranked 35 places lower than the Dutch at the time - equalised with a Harry Kewell penalty-kick after the home team went ahead through Klaas Jan Huntelaar's strike in the sixth-minute.
The result delighted Australia's Dutch coach, Pim Verbeek. It was a slight jab to the Australian football hierarchy, who had employed a string of Dutch technicians to oversee coaching development in Australia. The Dutch went into the match having only lost on home soil three times in the past decade.
Celebrate a rare victory over totaal voetbal with this bright oranje design.
