This design is a salute to Mark Bresciano's 2010 FIFA World Cup diary segment on the popular football show, Santo, Sam and Ed's Cup Fever! Bresciano's diary recalled the Socceroos' daily events in South Africa. His thoughts often focused on what meals individual players were having after training and walks along the lake. His most hilarious diary entry involved teammate, Scott Chipperfield, and his choice of chicken.
Santo Cilauro, Sam Pang and Ed Kavalee's football-centric comedy is one-of-a-kind. Their ability to pick humorous points in the game is truly remarkable.
Chipperfield was born in Wollongong on the south coast of New South Wales. His performances for the Wollongong Wolves from 1996 to 2001, earned him respect and an overseas contract. In 2001, Chipperfield signed for Swiss Super League powerhouse, FC Basel 1893, where he made 269 appearances and scored 69 goals before returning home in 2012.
Chippers, as he became affectionately known, represented Australia from 1998 to 2010, scoring 12 goals in 68 appearances. He was an integral part of two World Cup campaigns and is fondly remembered as part of the golden generation.
