Tameka Yallop (Butt), 28, is one of the most talented midfielders in Australian women's football. Yallop plays her club football in Norway's Toppserien for Klepp Idrettslag (Klepp Elite). Founded in October 1919, Klepp has the distinction of never being relegated from the Norwegian top division.
Born in Orange, New South Wales, Yallop has enjoyed success in Australia's W-League with Brisbane Roar. She reached over 100 appearances in 10 seasons, scoring 49 goals and lifting two championships.
Yallop has played in the Women's Premier Soccer League Elite for the Boston Breakers during 2012, the top division of women's football in the United States at the time. She has also played for 1. FFC Frankfurt (Frauen-Bundesliga), Iga FC Kunoichi (Nadeshiko League), Mallbackens (Damallsvenskan IF) and Melbourne City.
A member of the Matildas since 2007, Yallop was part of the team that won the 2010 AFC Women's Asian Cup (selected again in 2018, losing in the final to Japan). She has played in three FIFA Women's World Cups (2011, 2015 and 2019) and went to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The 2017 Tournament of Nations will long be remembered for Yallop's goal that defeated the United States on home soil. The Matildas won the tournament, with the victory over the US seen as reaching a significant benchmark.
In February 2019, she married former New Zealand international, Kirsty Yallop.
