"In this instance when [Lucas] Neill slid in, maybe I accentuated it a little bit. I felt the contact so I went down."

Australian football fans need no reminder of the incident that occurred in the dying seconds of the Round of 16 match against Italy at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Many claim the Azzurri's Fabio Grosso dived to win a last-gasp penalty-kick. For some, the debate still rages.

Italy went on to win the tournament. Grosso would be labelled a "diver" for some time to follow. Was it a dive? In truth, it was one of those challenges that could have gone either way. It went against Australia. Nevertheless, Grosso will remain a polarising player to Australian football diehards.

He likes to swim between the flags. Look out for him at your local pool, but please, no whistles.
