The jersey made famous by the Olyroos in their 1992 Barcelona Olympics qualifiers, Australia's nineties "spew shirt" is arguably one of the most iconic jerseys ever worn, but you are not supposed to like it. Most Australians were embarrassed by it at the time. However, the spew shirt has become synonymous with the 1991 (Portugal) and 1993 (Australia) FIFA World Youth Championships.
From 1990 to 1993, the Socceroos also donned the jersey made by KingRoo before switching to adidas. Former Socceroos captain, Paul Wade, jokingly said, "No one wanted to swap shirts with me after the game."
Arguably, the only player to look good in the spew shirt was Socceroos winger, Robbie Slater.
