Joanne "Joey" Peters was born in Newcastle, the second-most populated state in New South Wales. Peters kicked-off her career in 1996 at just 17 years of age. She was part of the Australian Institute of Sport and NSW Institute of Sport programs, before signing for the Northern NSW Pride. A number 10, Peters scored 28 goals in 110 appearances for the Australian women's national team, including one on her debut against New Zealand.

After having also played for the NSW Sapphires, Sydney United and Sydney Olympic, Peters joined the Newcastle United Jets for the inaugural W-League season. Her stellar club career had taken her to Brazil, playing for Santos, as well as the USA - the New York Power and Charlotte Lady Eagles securing her services.

Peters represented Australia in the 1999, 2003 and 2007 FIFA Women's World Cups and the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Since her retirement, Peters has worked across Australian football media and spends most of her time coaching her games-based philosophy, Game Play Learn, to young people across the country.

This design is a tribute to one of the great former number 10s in Australian football, based on her 2003 World Cup jersey. On the back, Peters' retro block customisation. A must-have for any diehard fan of the Matildas.
