Parramatta Power Soccer Club participated in the National Soccer League from 1999 to 2004. A short stint at professional football it may seem, Power was able to reach the NSL Grand Final in 2004, the club's final season. Perth Glory defeated the Power 1-0 after extra-time. A golden-goal winner in inclement conditions.
The club was backed by the Parramatta Leagues Club, owner of the Parramatta Eels (rugby league club). The Power would use Parramatta Stadium as its home ground. The club suffered from poor attendances throughout its existence, partly because of its links to the Eels, as well as it being in the already crowded Western Sydney football market.
This design marks a late-starter in the NSL. One for former players and fans of the Power.
