Australia first qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 1974. The name, Socceroos, followed them all the way to West Germany. The squad of 22, plus the injured Ray Baartz, are the true pioneers of Australian football.
Although the Socceroos would only collect one point, they were far from embarassed in a group that included East Germany (Australia lost 1-0 in Hamburg), eventual champions, West Germany (lost 3-0 in Hamburg), and Chile (drew 0-0 in Berlin).
This design features captain Peter Wilson, vice-captain Johnny Warren, Manfred Schaefer, Ray Richards, Jim Mackay, Harry Williams, goalkeeper Jack Reilly and Adrian Alston. Celebrate Australia's football history with this one-of-a-kind t-shirt.
