A team full of talent, St George Budapest was a pioneering club in every sense of the word. This design features St George's 1971 side, including Brian Taylor, George Harris, Manfred Schaefer, Don Sandell, Geoff Morgan, Doug Utjesenovic, Tommy Anderson, Jim Fraser, Rale Rasic (coach), Johnny Warren, Attila Abonyi, George Campbell, Adrian Alston, Alan Ainslie, Harry Williams and Michael Denton.

In 1971, St George became the first Australian club to play in a tournament abroad, winning the Tokyo International (as well as four friendlies against Macao, Jardine Sports, Toyo Kogyo and FC Hitachi). The player of the tour was Johnny Warren, who gave his medal to a young George Harris as a gesture of encouragement. What a team!
